Habitat for Humanity of Waldo County, is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We are dedicated to the belief that all people deserve decent, safe and affordable housing on terms they can afford. We build relationships as well as houses, along with pride in service, home ownership and community. We sell our homes to working families who qualify after going through a multi-step application process. The homes are sold to our partners, who assume the mortgage with affordable monthly payments.The home owner also contributes at least 200 hours of sweat-equity, including a minimum of 100 hours helping to build their own home, as well as other Habitat homes.
